AINA
Aina is a moderately urbanized locale with medium-sized buildings and a healthy industrial sector. Trees of many species, flowers, shrubs, grasses, vines, and wild fruit plants are all common flora in Aina. Many species of birds can be seen at most times of the year here as well as handfuls of furry compatriots. The majority of Aina's residents are of average means, but due to its history of technological adaptation, jobs are almost always in decent supply. Food shortages in Aina are rare, but the price of clean water fluctuates year-to-year, creating artificial shortages or price hikes of various goods. The Fairchild House regulates the trade of water, which comes primarily from Denskig.
DENSKIG
Denskig is a dilapidated span of overgrown ruins alongside crudely constructed buildings. It was here that The Prophets performed one of the only recorded violent campaigns against the races of Nova, establishing dominance in the region alongside lush, diverse species of plants of every type. The only discernible differences between Denskig and Forever Forest is the presence of civilians and the absence of the more aggressive animal species that make the Forest infamous. Most of Denskig's inhabitants are relatively poor, and very little trade comes out of the area. Its one important quality is the production of fresh water that the vegetation makes possible. The Prophets, on behalf of the Forest, allow water to move freely in Denskig because of its proximity to the sea and its habitable climate. In exchange for the abundance of fresh water, residents of Denskig are prohibited from performing large-scale manufacturing of any kind, instead being required to import goods or make them by crafting professions. Compared to Aina and Carrestra, Denskig is sparsely inhabited.
CARRESTRA
Carrestra is the City of Steel; Nova's industrial giant. Surrounded by desert, Carrestra pulls abundant minerals from the earth and trades its goods to Aina for the water from Denskig. Carrestra was little more than a serfdom when the expanding forest in Denskig began to drain the water from the region. Aina's aristocracy pressured Carrestra to bring their resources to expand Aina's influence. They refused, and within a decade, were producing the highest grade metal in Nova, establishing Carrestra as a competing city on par with Aina. Carrestra consists of two income brackets: the poor and those who employ the poor. Not that the wealthy oppress the poor, rather, the side effect of living in the desert is that those who have only do because they have people working for them. Therefore, those who own the businesses employ those who don't, and those who run the military make sure that those who run the businesses continue to do so. Recently, rumors have been circulating that Carrestra's production of military equipment has been secretly increased to nearly twice normal. Because of its topography, Carrestra is native only to the hardiest of shrub species and equally hardy insect and reptile species. Because it is so industrialized, few animal species are ever seen in the city, and none are native to the area.
